Customer Brief
The estate agent stopped the viewing of this cottage in Fence, Lancashire due to floors collapsing inside, a very dangerous situation.
As a result, the customer required a complete renovation of this cottage. The building is to be fully gutted, and then a full internal back to brick renovation to be done. GSConstruction was appointed to do the work.
Renovation Process
We started upstairs and worked our way down. All internal walls and floors, including floor joists were removed and replaced. We then constructed a new configuration of rooms to suit the customer with a new oak staircase and oak beams in keeping with a traditional cottage.
Specialist materials were used to render the internal walls. All areas are fully insulated: walls floors and roof. All internal doors are solid oak. The result is a very high specification refurbished home.
