Garden Construction
The garden design and construction required a flat Indian Paved patio area to a raised garden area. We excavated the bottom part of garden out to reduce the level to maintain access from the conservatory onto the patio areas. The top of the garden remained as a lawned area, untouched by the construction.
We built new stone faced retaining walls to support the raised garden areas, designed with sufficient strength to support the ground above. We built steps up from the Indian paving to the garden, with solid support under the steps.
Indian Paved Patio Area
Indian paving is stunning when laid correctly, it is very decorative with multi-coloured slabs of differing sizes, as it is here. We constructed a fantastic flat area using Indian paving, with a circle feature inlaid at the centre.
This is a good example of a partial garden reconstruction, we concentrated on the areas around the house with access from French doors of the conservatory.
