Customer Requirement
The customer planned to replace the current fish pond for a much larger Koi Carp pond. This is one of the more unusual projects we have carried out.
Koi Carp Pond Construction
We removed all the existing pond and materials off site and constructed a new pond.
The new Koi Carp pond construction is around 9 feet deep, 22 x 11 feet with a full re-inforced structure and curved corners. The pond is raised above ground with a brick faced wall. We rendered the inside of the pond with two coats, then fibre-glassed. There is also a waterfall feature. It was finished off with marble copings.
Pipework and Filter Room
The pipework to the pond provides rotational water movement, and the bottom drain provides clean water with continuous air bubbles, this can be seen in one of the pictures.
We built the new electric and filter room placed at the side of the new pond, linking to the new underground pipework.
